What is The Lotus Glam?

The Lotus Glam is Vidya's signature approach to bridal beauty, combining the benefits of airbrush and traditional makeup techniques. Master-certified in full-face airbrush makeup, Vidya has developed a method that incorporates airbrush techniques across multiple aspects of makeup application, including eyeshadow, eyeliner, brows, and contour.

How long can my makeup last?

With proper care, your makeup is designed to last throughout your wedding day and into the evening. Factors such as weather, perspiration, tears, and eating habits can affect how your makeup wears.

Our team will share practical tips to help you maintain your look throughout your celebration, so you can enjoy your special moments with confidence.

What should I bring for touch-ups?

We've got you covered! If you'd like to keep a small personal emergency kit, we recommend having oil-blotting sheets, lipstick, blush, and powder on hand.

If you'd like your artist to stay for additional touch-ups after your initial application, please let us know in advance. Extended touch-up services are subject to availability and additional charges.

Is a bridal preview necessary?

A bridal preview is not mandatory, but we highly recommend it. It's an opportunity to connect with your artist, discuss your preferences, and explore your desired hair and makeup look before the wedding day.

A preview also helps build trust and familiarity with your artist, making your wedding-day experience more comfortable and seamless. RLA also allows you to use your bridal preview for your engagement photos.

Where do bridal previews take place?

Trial makeup appointments take place at the Red Lotus Artistry Studio. Please coordinate with our team to confirm your appointment and any consultation arrangements.

How should I prepare for my bridal preview or beauty appointment?

Please arrive with clean, 100% dry hair and no makeup. Bring at least two inspiration photos that reflect your preferred overall beauty look.

Be sure to inform your artist of any skin conditions, allergies, sensitivities, or other relevant concerns before your service. This helps your artist understand your needs and discuss appropriate precautions.

Can you recreate a look from my inspiration photos?

Inspiration photos are an excellent way to communicate your preferences and desired aesthetic. Your artist will use them as a guide while considering your individual features, hair, skin, and the overall look you're hoping to achieve.

Although we make every effort to bring your vision to life, an exact recreation or specific result cannot be guaranteed.

How long does a complete makeover take?

The time required depends on several factors, including hair length and thickness, extensions, makeup style, draping technique, dupatta fabric, hair accessories, and the overall complexity of your look.

As a general estimate, bridal hair and makeup may take approximately 3–5 hours, while non-bridal services may take approximately 1.5–2 hours. Your designated artist can provide a more accurate estimate following a consultation and, where applicable, a bridal preview.

When will I receive my wedding-day timeline?

Your finalized timeline will be provided two weeks before your first event. Everyone receiving services must be available at their scheduled appointment time to help keep preparations running smoothly.

Please communicate any scheduling concerns or changes to our team as early as possible.

Do you travel to hotels, homes, and wedding venues?

Yes, location arrangements can be discussed during the inquiry process. Depending on your event location and booking agreement, additional travel, parking, accommodation, or other related expenses may apply.

What setup does the beauty team need at my venue?

Please provide a dedicated workspace for our artists and the individuals actively receiving services. Additional space may be required when more than three people are scheduled to receive services simultaneously.

Keeping the workspace available exclusively to the beauty team and clients being serviced helps maintain an organized, comfortable, and efficient preparation environment.

What happens if I or a member of my bridal party is late?

Timeliness is essential to ensuring that everyone receives their contracted services. Delays caused by the client may incur late fees under the booking agreement and may affect the remaining schedule.

We ask that everyone arrive promptly and remain available at their scheduled time.

How do I confirm my booking for hair and makeup services?

A signed agreement and the required deposit or retainer are necessary to secure your booking, wedding date, and scheduled artist availability. Your reservation is not confirmed until the required contract and payment have been received.

Our team will guide you through the booking process and provide the applicable payment details privately.

How can I receive your pricing and package information?

We provide personalized pricing information through email. Submit an inquiry with your wedding date, event schedule, location, and service requirements, and our team will follow up with availability and a customized quote.

Can I add an extra person for a makeover at the last minute?

Additional clients may be accommodated only if time and artist availability permit. Your booking manager will confirm whether the team can accept additional services.

Any approved additional services will be charged according to the applicable same-day or on-location pricing schedule, rather than any special rates offered to the original booking party.

Can I request additional touch-ups or services after booking?

Yes, additional services may be requested subject to availability and approval. Touch-ups, overtime, or last-minute changes may incur additional charges under your agreement.

We recommend discussing any anticipated additional needs before your event so the team can plan accordingly.

Can I change my wedding date after booking?

Please contact our team as soon as possible if your wedding date or event schedule changes. All requested changes are subject to availability and must be discussed and confirmed with Red Lotus Artistry. Please refer to your signed agreement for the applicable terms.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted payment methods listed in the booking agreement include cash, Venmo, credit or debit card, and PayPal. PayPal payments are subject to an additional fee.

Your contract will outline your payment obligations, and the person signing the agreement is responsible for the contracted balance and applicable expenses.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your booking agreement outlines the applicable cancellation and refund terms. It provides a 24-hour grace period following contract signing during which deposits may be refunded. After that period, deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, subject to the terms of your agreement.

We encourage you to review your contract carefully before confirming your reservation.

Do you offer makeup lessons or classes?

Yes! Red Lotus Artistry offers a variety of makeup education experiences, including one-on-one makeup lessons, virtual courses, girls' night makeup classes, and our popular Get Lotused – Makeup & Mimosas in-person group classes.

Are your makeup tools and products sanitized?

Yes. Our agreement states that brushes, tools, and makeup products are sanitized between makeup applications. Please disclose any known allergies or sensitivities before your appointment so your artist can discuss appropriate precautions.

Can Red Lotus Artistry use my wedding photos for promotional purposes?

Our booking agreement includes permission for Red Lotus Artistry to use certain photographs, videos, and other media for promotional purposes unless otherwise discussed and approved.

If you have privacy concerns or specific preferences regarding the use of your images, please discuss them with our team before signing your agreement and obtain written confirmation of any agreed restrictions.
